The Aquamira Frontier Pro Tactical portable water filter system provides all the benefits of a larger bottle filter in an ultralight, compact size. This military edition water filter is a straw-style filter in an olive drab color, with a design that attaches directly to water bottles or bladders and an attached cap that keeps mouthpieces clean. Once attached, the Frontier Pro Tactical will remove 99.9 percent of Giardia, Cryptosporidium, and other contaminants down to 3 microns. The filter’s activated carbon–made using only the finest-quality coconut shell carbon–absorbs chemicals and odors and improves the taste of the filtered water. And thanks to the filter’s Miraguard antimicrobial technology, the filter media resist the growth of bacteria, algae, fungus, mold, and mildew. Use the Frontier Pro Tactical filter to drink from any water bottle, cup, hydration system, or straight from the water source. The Frontier Pro Tactical comes with a universal connectivity adapter system, which connects directly to any water bottle with a 28mm opening, such as a Platypus or a standard-size bottle. You can also use the tube connection feature to connect directly to your hydration system or drink tube, or drink directly from any open container or water source. And should you want to filter water in advance and drink later, you can flip the Frontier Pro Tactical into “gravity flow” mode. The filter measures 1.25 inches in diameter and 5.5 inches long and weighs 2 ounces dry. The Frontier Pro Tactical filters up to 50 gallons. To lengthen filter life, use replacement pre-filters. Note: Miraguard does not protect users against foodborne or disease-causing bacteria, viruses, or germs. If viruses or smaller bacteria are suspected, use in conjunction with Aquamira water purifier tablets.
