The MIT 70 is the smallest inflatable PFD approved in North America, making it your new favorite vest to pack for every inshore adventure. Exclusive Membrane Inflatable Technology (M.I.T.) creates a lightweight, flexible fit. Automatic inflation model inflates upon water immersion (see SKU: MSTAIT70I). Provides 15.7 lbs. (7.1 kg) buoyancy when inflated. Vest has a Harmonized Level 70 approval for US and Canada. It is not approved for water skiing or other high impact, high-speed activities. The PFD has a replaceable 16g CO2 cylinder that when activated by pulling the bright yellow detonator pull tab will fully-inflate the PFD within 5 seconds. The M.I.T. 70 Auto-Activation PFD, will automatically inflate within 10 seconds after the inflator is immersed in water. The water-sensing bobbin will disintegrate, triggering a spring-loaded plunger, which punctures the CO2 cylinder.
